This charming spot charms locals and visitors alike with its thoughtfully crafted menu that celebrates classic comfort food elevated by fresh, flavorful ingredients.

Sweet tooths will adore their Chocolate Brownie or the seasonal Strawberry White Chocolate Scone, each bite bursting with comforting richness.
For families, the thoughtful kids' menu delights little ones with housemade peanut butter & jelly sourdough sandwiches, French toast topped with Nutella and berries, or a simple grilled cheese that guarantees happy smiles. Parents appreciate the careful attention to ingredients and accommodating staff, ensuring everyone leaves satisfied and eager to return.
The atmosphere at Morning Times echoes a comforting neighborhood hub, with lively energy during busy mornings that slowly fades into a more relaxed vibe as the day progresses. Though seating can be tight and popular spots fill up quickly, the efficient system—where you order at the counter and receive an Uno card for table service—keeps things flowing smoothly. Many patrons, like Jonathan, note the bustling lines but praise the speedy pace and friendly service.
Regular visitors like Richard admire this gem for its "unique" coffee shop vibe and expertly brewed drinks, while Reema appreciates the option of online ordering that lets her work uninterrupted upstairs with her laptop. The welcoming team’s flexibility attracts families, as Lauren shares, handling special requests with a warm smile and generous portions that exceed expectations.
Morning Times isn’t just a spot to grab coffee or breakfast—it’s an experience steeped in comfort, flavor, and genuine hospitality. Whether you’re settling in for a leisurely brunch or picking up your daily dose of expertly roasted coffee, this Raleigh staple invites you to savor the moment. A must-visit for anyone who values quality, creativity, and the simple joy of a well-made meal to start the day right.
Good place for breakfast, coffee, and lunch. The space in front of the register can be a little tight when busy but the lines moves pretty quickly. Order your food at the register. If you're eating in, they give you a table marker with an Uno Card for a server to bring you your food. We a ordered the Ruben sandwich, chips, corn beef and hash. The food was pretty good. The honey sriacha sauce that comes with the cornbeef and hash was delicious. There was plenty of seating upstairs and outside. We will return.
It was an unplanned visit this morning. But I was pleasantly impressed with the place. When I see a coffee shop have lines out the door it makes me happy (when I m not in a rush of course) - showing it’s a good place for coffee!! And it most definitely didn’t disappoint. I went upstairs, opened my laptop and ordered my food online - just to skip the crazy lines. Picked it up a few minutes later and enjoyed the chicken biscuit with a warm cup of coffee!! No fancy plates for me but that did no difference to the taste! Will definitely go again.
This place is always busy and it’s not hard to see why! The perfect little breakfast spot. Recommend getting to-go items as tables are hard to come by. The line was long but it moved quickly.
Morning Times in downtown Raleigh is a truly unique spot with a cool coffee shop vibe that stands out in the city. The coffee here is super flavorful, rich, and expertly brewed. Their food menu is just as impressive, with each dish crafted to perfection. I especially recommend trying their biscuits. If you’re in Raleigh and looking for a memorable coffee and bite, Morning Times is a must-visit.
We came and here and they were very accommodating. We ordered a parfait for our baby and he’s under one so we asked them not to add the honey. The biscuit and omelet were fantastic and much larger than expected. The coffee and hot chocolate was the perfect temperature. I love that they steamed the milk for the hot chocolate and it wasn’t a powder mix with hot water. We can’t wait to visit again.
Stopped here this morning on our way out of Raleigh and it was a great start to our morning! Got the Chai latte and tuna melt and they were fabulous. I get nervous about ordering Chais at smaller coffee shops because they differ in taste so much but they nailed it here. The tuna melt was perfect and the tots were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The service was fast and there was a clear sense of community at the establishment. Would definitely come back again.
